What's in the box.
Cuisora is one of our website templates for chefs: a dark, moody HTML5 template for a chef’s bistro run as a guest-chef residency: a new chef and a new menu of global small plates every month, twelve seats at the counter, evenings with the chef and a shop of the chefs’ cookbooks. Slate, gold and menu paper with Raleway capitals and DM Mono figures set the room. Underneath, it runs real residency logic. It shows the chef in residence and the next ones from the visitor’s date. It also counts the nights left in the residency, and plates filter by heat and diet.
In addition, there are a plate planner for the table and counter seats booked stool by stool. Table booking runs from the bistro’s hours, and events follow their own repeat rules. Finally, it covers a private-dining estimate and gift sets priced as they fill. A cookbook shop adds a bag, coupon, shipping and tax. It ships with a dark and a light theme. It also has right-to-left support and WebGL layers – pencil sketches of plates drawing themselves in and a footer plate with the month’s chef’s name orbiting it.
Three Home Pages
- Home 01 – The Residency: a hero slider with the chef in residence and the nights left and how the residency works. Then come the Portrait Carousel – the year’s twelve chefs stand round a ring that turns month by month as you scroll and lands on this month’s chef – the month’s menu on a printed sheet, two ways to eat, the next chefs in residence, a word from the chef with their signature, the cookbook shelf and the journal.
- Home 02 – The Month’s Menu: the month’s small plates on a sheet with the heat filter. Next is the Chef’s Notebook, whose leaves turn over the spine one after another. Each leaf has a plate, with the chef’s notes on the back. Then come the plate planner, reviews and the chef’s recommendation. Finally, there are lunch from the house and evenings with the chef.
- Home 03 – The Counter: a split hero, the counter tonight with both sittings and their stools drawn free and taken. Then come the Wok Toss – the ingredients arc up out of the wok on their own heights and land back in it – tonight’s tickets on the pass rail, the counter menu on a photo band, signed books and the counter’s questions answered.
Residency, Counter & Shop Pages
- The Year’s Chefs: the twelve residencies by month, the chef now and next from the clock. It also has a month grid with the service nights and the chef’s signature writing in on hover.
- Guest Chef: the chef in residence – city, cuisine, the counter menu, the month’s plates, their book and the nights left – always the visitor’s month.
- Small Plates Menu: a heat filter from No Heat to Fierce, with vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free and dairy-free marks. There are also course tabs and a month picker for any chef of the year. Finally, a plate planner picks the plates for the table.
- Counter Seats: twelve stools drawn seat by seat for two sittings, Wednesday to Sunday, the wine pairing, a deposit a seat and a booking reference. Continue never blocks; only Confirm checks the details.
- Book A Table: a four-step wizard – party and day, seating area and a time from the bistro’s hours, details, confirm – with a live summary.
- Events: meet the chef, a spice and knife class and a natural wine night. It also has the cookbook signing and the handover supper, each on its own weekday of the month, with seats left and booking.
- Private Dining: three rooms by party size, menus by the head, extras and a four-step estimate with the price per guest and the deposit.
- The Cookbook Shop: the chefs’ books and the house books, with signed copies, price filter, sort and search. Each book page has tabs. In addition, there are a bag, a coupon, a free-shipping meter, tax, checkout with an order number and a wishlist.
- Gift Sets: a box of three, a box of five or the year box, filled with the chefs’ books. A full box is 10% off and comes with a wrap and a card. Also, ready-made sets give you a place to start.
