The short version: $50 up front when you join, 40% of what the new customers you refer pay, and PayPal payouts once your balance reaches $200. The full rules are here; the questions below cover the rest.
- 40% commission on templates and developer bundles bought by new customers you refer, after discounts and before tax.
- The referral lasts 90 days from the last click on an affiliate link; the last link clicked gets the sale.
- Studio services and order add-ons are not commissionable. Refunded, cancelled or failed orders earn nothing.
- Commissions become payable 30 days after the purchase. Payouts by PayPal once your available balance reaches $200, sent within 10 business days of your request.
- Every new affiliate gets a $50 welcome bonus, one per person. It counts toward the $200 minimum and is paid only together with your commissions, never on its own; we remove it from accounts that break these rules.
- No self-referrals, no bidding on MetropolitanHost brand terms in paid search, no spam, and no claims we don’t make (prices, discounts or features).

Is it free to join?
Yes. Create a MetropolitanHost account (or sign in), open the Affiliate program tab and accept the terms. Your referral link is ready straight away.
How does tracking work?
Your link adds ?ref=your-code to any MetropolitanHost address. When someone opens it we keep your code in a cookie for 90 days. If they buy as a new customer in that window, the purchase is credited to you. When several affiliate links are clicked, the last one counts.
What counts as an eligible purchase?
Templates and developer bundles in every format, after discounts and before tax, bought by a customer who had not bought from MetropolitanHost before. Studio services and order add-ons such as support or installation are not included. If the same customer buys again while your referral is still active, that order counts too.
When do I get paid?
A commission becomes available 30 days after the purchase, once the refund window has passed. When your available balance reaches $200, request a payout from your dashboard and we send it to your PayPal account within 10 business days.
What is the welcome bonus?
Every new affiliate starts with $50 in their balance. It is paid out together with your commissions once your available balance reaches $200; it cannot be withdrawn on its own. One bonus per person.
What happens if an order is refunded?
A refunded, cancelled or failed order earns no commission; a partial refund lowers it to match what the customer kept.
Can I link to a specific template?
Yes. Any page works: a product, a format, an industry, the catalog or the journal. Use the link builder on this page or in your dashboard.
Can I buy through my own link?
No. Purchases by the affiliate account, or with the affiliate's email address, are not credited.
Where do I see my results?
In My Account → Affiliate program: link clicks, customers referred, pending and available commissions, payouts and every commission with its order number.
