What's in the box.
With 32 pages, a live service clock, a sermon library and a giving engine, Altara is a Tailwind CSS church web template that handles the weekly work of a congregation. It is written for Tailwind CSS 4 and aimed at churches, parishes and ministries that want a quiet, reverent look. Lenten violet, liturgical gold and an EB Garamond serif set the tone.
Why This Tailwind CSS Church Web Template Works For Real Services
A parish office can run services, events and appeals from this Tailwind CSS church web template without writing new page logic. The service clock reads the visitor’s own clock. During a service it shows Live Now, and otherwise it shows the next service with a countdown.
- Events are built from repeat rules, such as the 2nd Friday of the month or every Wednesday, so the calendar stays current. They also include a month calendar, filter tabs, seats left, ticket packages and Add To Calendar files.
- Sermons come as a library with search, series, speaker and book filters, sort and pages. One audio player follows the visitor across the page.
- Giving shows causes with real progress and days left. The give form has presets, monthly giving and an exact cover-the-card-fee option.
- Plan Your Visit is a four-step planner that places each child in a room by age, then ends with a reference and a calendar file.
Two Home Pages For Parishes And Ministries
Home 01, A Place For Every Family, opens with a stained-glass hero slider and WebGL light rays. Next come the service times bar, about collage, featured event with a countdown, ministries, pastors, the current appeal, testimonials, the latest sermon and the blog. In the appeal, ten candles light to the real share of the goal as you scroll.
Home 02, Bread For The City, pairs copy with a photograph cut to an arched church window. It then adds weekly services, a gallery mosaic, monthly partner plans, a message form for the pastor, previous pastors and this week’s sermons. Both homes also come in right-to-left versions.
Church Shop, Prayer Wall And Inner Pages
Beyond the homes, Altara covers the pages a congregation looks for:
- About, Our History with a timeline, and Our Pastors with a role filter
- Ministries 01 and 02, Ministry Details, Ministry Finder and Verse Of The Day
- Sermons, Sermon Details, Events, Event Details and Plan Your Visit
- Prayer Wall, Donations, Donation Details and a searchable FAQ
- Church Shop, Product Details, Cart, Checkout and Wishlist, with coupons and delivery
- Blog with image, gallery, video and quote posts, plus Blog Details
- Contact with a working form handler and map, Login, Register, Forgot Password, Coming Soon and 404
The shop remembers the cart and wishlist between pages. The Contact form can also use optional invisible reCAPTCHA v3, so spam stays out of the pastor’s inbox.
Tailwind CSS 4 Styling For The Shop, Sermons And Prayer Wall
Only the classes the pages use reach the compiled CSS, so unused styles do not ship. That matters on a template with 32 pages, because the shop, the sermon library and the prayer wall each add their own styling. Hover and focus states are written in the markup next to the base styles, so a change to a Donations button or a Sermons filter happens in one place.
What A Church Would Change First
Most buyers start with the logo, the service times and the colors. Altara uses CSS-variable design tokens, so re-theming from violet and gold to your own palette is quick. Next come the pastor names on Our Pastors, the cause amounts on Donations and the schedule rules on Events. Light and dark mode keeps a remembered toggle, so test both after changing colors. The template also respects prefers-reduced-motion and shows every page in its finished state without animation.
The download holds the finished pages, which open as they are, and the Tailwind source for anyone who wants to rebuild the styles. The preview images are not included, and neutral placeholders take their place. Font Awesome Free and a church icon font load locally, and documentation is included.
Altara includes 32 HTML pages in total, counting the two right-to-left homes, and it needs no console errors cleanup before you start.
