Shalomi works out Shabbat candle lighting and Havdalah from the sun for each visitor’s city, as a Tailwind CSS synagogue template built on Tailwind CSS 4. It is made for synagogues, temples and Jewish community centres that want a site which behaves like a working congregation, not a brochure. Velvet, gold and Jerusalem stone set the look.

How a Tailwind CSS Synagogue Template Runs Like a Real Congregation Site

The Tailwind CSS synagogue template covers the work a congregation does all week: services, dues, donations, events and a Judaica shop. Visitors also see today’s Hebrew date, the festivals of the year and what is live in the sanctuary right now.

  • 37 HTML pages in total
  • 3 unique homepage designs, each also in an RTL version
  • Light and dark mode on one switch, remembered between visits
  • A WebGL Magen David of gold light, plus a Magen David preloader
  • Torah Unroll reveals, a media cursor and three scroll moments
  • Swiper sliders and Fancybox video popups
  • Support for prefers-reduced-motion

Three Synagogue Homepages and Their RTL Versions

Home 01 opens with a hero slider and the WebGL star. In the Sundown band, the sun sets behind the Jerusalem skyline while this Shabbat’s times arrive for twelve cities. Causes with goal bars, the live broadcast and a filtered community section follow.

Home 02 starts with a velvet hero, then adds a hotline and newsletter band and this year’s appeal ring. The Life At Shalomi stack runs from the naming of a child to the Yahrzeit candle. Ask The Rabbi and the news close the page.

Home 03 shows the next service live and the latest derasha. Sister congregations appear on a world map with their own candle-lighting times. The Year Scroll then unrolls the festivals as you scroll.

Shabbat Times, Hebrew Calendar and Live Services Pages

  • Shabbat Times: dawn, sunrise, the latest Shema, midday, Mincha, Plag, sunset and nightfall for any city and date, plus eight weeks of candle lighting and Havdalah.
  • Hebrew Calendar: today’s Hebrew date, a date converter with an after-sunset option, festival countdowns, Yahrzeit dates and Bar / Bat Mitzvah dates.
  • Live Services: Live Now and Next In status, recordings in a video lightbox and a Mi Shebeirach request form.

Membership, Giving and Judaica Shop Pages

Membership & Giving has tiers with a dues calculator for seats, Hebrew School, funds and payment plans. The donation form offers funds, chai amounts, monthly giving, a dedication and a live goal bar. Events & Derashas lists upcoming, this-month and past events, with a countdown, agenda and an RSVP checked against seats left.

The Judaica Shop filters by category and price, with search and sort. It also has a product page with options, a cart with coupons, shipping and sales tax, checkout with an order number, and a wishlist.

Inner Pages for a Synagogue Website

Beyond the main sections, the template includes About, Services, Service Details, Community, Community Details, Volunteers, Volunteer Details, Blog and Blog Details. FAQ has search, and Contact has a working form handler with a map and optional invisible reCAPTCHA v3. Login, Register, Forgot Password, Coming Soon and 404 complete the set. Coming Soon counts down to the next festival.

Utility Classes in Shalomi’s Layouts With Tailwind CSS 4

Styling is written as utility classes in the HTML, so you can read and change the look of a section right where it sits. Hover and focus states also live in the markup next to the base styles. For example, you can adjust a Shabbat Times card or a shop product tile without searching another file.

When you start customising, most buyers change the gold and velvet colours first, since design tokens make re-theming quick. Then they update the city list for Shabbat Times, the service schedule and the dues tiers.

The download opens as finished pages, with the Tailwind source included for anyone who wants to rebuild the styles. Neutral placeholders replace the preview images. Font Awesome Free and a Jewish icon set load locally, and the fonts are Frank Ruhl Libre and Poppins. Documentation is included.

The layout is fully responsive with a desktop-first breakpoint system, and the pages run with zero console errors. Mirrored RTL pages come with a direction switch, so Hebrew sites can use the same design.
